As I mentioned before the blogroll would undergo some serious scrutiny and I would come up with a new and revised list with some rationale behind it. Well, I just do not feel like doing it now, so I have resolved to do an analysis of incoming traffic rather than outgoing, or: who are Peaktalk’s top referrers?
The Top Ten
The number one slot is for the well known Southern Californian blogger who does not need any further introduction, nor does the number two, the Tennessean professor. It gets interesting with number three which is Stacy at Sekimori, she who put this great site together and who is always more than happy to give a helping hand in times of need. She, by the way has recently revamped her site and I recommend that you drop by and have a look; if you do not have your own project it is always a great stepping-stone to a group of interesting and very well designed blogs around the world. Number four is Alisa of Alisa in Wonderland. She was kind enough to describe Peaktalk on her blog as one of the better blogs on Den Beste’s roll and has not only directed traffic my way, but is also a regular e-mailer with questions, comments and support. Thanks Alisa. The fifth place is for Asymmetrical Information or the team of Jane Galt and Mindles H. Dreck and it was the latter who alerted his readership to Peaktalk, primarily because economic affairs get coverage here, especially where they interact with politics. I believe they are also graduates from the Den Beste blogroll. The sixth top referrer on the list is Sari Stein with her Segacs blog. She was one of the earlier blogs I discovered and I always make a point of checking on her take on events in Israel as well as Jewish affairs in general. She also is the only blogger I know who blogs in English from one of the more peculiar polities in North America: the province of Quebec and from time to time she throws in some attention grabbing opinions on life in French North America. The first European blog appears on number seven and that is Bjorn Staerk, the prolific Norwegian who in style and format is close to Peaktalk and that is why he probably likes this blog and links to me on a regular basis. Bjorn is followed by Pejman in California, one of the rising stars of the blogosphere and he was kind enough to link to me a number of times although I never made it onto his blogroll, maybe now is the time, we’ll see. On the ninth place is another European, the Belgian Dog of Flanders who correctly refers to me as Some Dutch Dude in Canada. I am not entirely sure how I made it onto his roll but it appears we are on the same political page when I read some of his observations. Finally, on the number ten slot, is David Janes who is a terrific referrer and trackbacker who himself recently moved over to MT and that helped turning Ranting and Roaring into a pretty good blog.
Special Mention
There are many other referrers out there but this one deserves an honorable mention: The Long Rooster where Peaktalk has made the blogroll in style: Phat Ass Dutchman. I cannot vouch for the Rooster’s content, but there you go.
